What we
install
In Las Vegas a ceiling fan isn't decoration. It's the difference between the AC running flat out and a room that's actually comfortable in July — a good fan lets you push the thermostat up a few degrees, and that shows up on the power bill every summer.
The install is where it goes wrong. A fan hung on a standard light box will loosen, wobble and eventually rattle the ceiling, because those boxes were never rated to carry a moving load. We check what's up there before anything gets hung.
Ceiling fan replacement
The most common call. Old unit down, wiring checked, new fan mounted, balanced and tested. Usually an hour or two.
A fan where there's only a light
We swap the light box for a fan-rated braced box tied into the joists, then hang the fan. Same switch, no new circuit needed in most rooms.
High and vaulted ceilings
Two-story entries, great rooms, sloped ceilings. We bring the equipment and the second set of hands, and use the right downrod and slope adapter.
Chandeliers and light fixtures
Dining chandeliers, entry pendants, flush mounts, vanity bars and under-cabinet lighting — hung level and at the right height for the table.
Remotes and wall controls
Receivers installed and paired, wall controls swapped, dimmers matched to LED fixtures so they don't buzz or flicker.
Patio and outdoor fans
Damp- and wet-rated fans for covered patios, mounted to block or patio framing and rated for the dust and the heat.

Where we

Swapping a fixture on existing wiring is handyman work. Adding a new circuit, running new wire through walls, or touching the panel is licensed electrician work in Nevada. If your job crosses that line we'll tell you on the phone, not halfway through.
Sizing a fan for a Vegas
room
Size to the room: up to 10×10ft takes a 42–44" fan; 12×12 to 15×15ft takes a 52"; great rooms and open plans want 60"+ or two fans; patios want damp or wet rated at 52" and up.
Get the height right: blades should sit 8–9ft off the floor. Eight-foot ceilings need a flush-mount hugger, 10ft and up need a downrod, and sloped ceilings need a slope adapter.
DC-motor fans are noticeably quieter and draw far less power than the older AC motors, which matters in a bedroom when the thing runs April through October.

Can you install a ceiling fan where there's only a light?
Usually yes. The light box has to be swapped for a fan-rated braced box, since a standard box isn't built to carry a spinning load. If the job needs new wiring or a new circuit that's licensed electrician territory and we'll say so.
Why does my ceiling fan wobble?
Nearly always one of three things: a loose mounting bracket, a box that was never fan-rated, or blades out of balance. We tighten the mount to the structure, check blade pitch and balance the set, which resolves the large majority of wobbles.
Can you reach a two-story entryway ceiling?
Yes. Tall entry and great-room ceilings are everywhere in the valley and we come equipped for them, including the second person those jobs need.
What size ceiling fan do I need?
A room up to 10 by 10 feet wants a 42 to 44 inch fan, 12 by 12 up to 15 by 15 wants a 52 inch, and great rooms want 60 inches or two fans. Blades should end up 8 to 9 feet off the floor.
Should I buy the fan or should you?
Either works. Most people pick their own since it's the visible part. Send us the model and we'll confirm it suits your ceiling height and box before you buy.
Can you install a chandelier over a stairwell?
Yes, and it's a job worth not doing yourself. Stairwell and entry fixtures need proper ladder staging, and the fixture has to be hung at the right height relative to the landing rather than just centered in the void.
Do you haul the old fan away?
Yes — old fan and all the packaging go with us unless you want to keep them.
