Handyman Las Vegas / Drywall Repair

Drywall Repair Las Vegas

Cut back to solid board, backed, textured to match and primed — so the wall goes back to being a wall you never look at.

Open 7 days 7am to 8pm, including Saturday and Sunday

What we
repair

Drywall is the repair everybody notices and nobody wants to attempt twice. A patch is easy to make. A patch that disappears takes the right compound, the right texture gun, and the patience to let coats dry before sanding.

We patch drywall across the valley every day of the week — rentals turning over, moving-day damage, and the very Las Vegas problem of a hallway wall that met a door handle one too many times.

Holes and impact damage

Doorknob punches, furniture dents, old TV mount holes and whatever a kid's elbow found. Cut square, backed properly, patched and textured.

Ceiling water damage

Stained or sagging ceilings from an AC pan, a roof leak or the bathroom above. Ruined board comes out, new board goes in, stains sealed so they don't bleed through paint.

Settling cracks

Cracks above doorways and windows are routine here as the ground moves. We re-tape them properly instead of smearing mud over the line so it reopens next summer.

Knockdown texture matching

Knockdown, orange peel, splatter and hand texture sprayed and knocked down to match, then feathered out so the repair has no visible border.

Popped nails and open seams

A row of little bumps down the wall, or a seam that's opened up — reset, re-taped, floated flat again.

Full sheet replacement

Bigger than a patch: plumbing access cuts, garage walls, whole sections of ceiling. Hung, taped and finished.

What people call us
about

If yours is on this list we've done it this month. If it isn't, it's probably still a yes — send a photo and find out.

  • Doorknob hole in the hallway wall
  • Water stain on the bedroom ceiling
  • Knockdown texture match on a patch
  • Crack above a doorway that keeps coming back
  • Nail pops down a whole wall
  • Popcorn ceiling patch and repair
  • Garage drywall damaged by a car door
  • Anchor and TV bracket holes before a move-out
  • Drywall around a plumber's access cut
  • A patch from the last guy that never got textured
  • Small drywall repair before a house sale
  • Corner bead dented by a vacuum or stroller

How the repair
goes

  1. Send a photo

Text a picture of the damage. That is usually enough for a firm price without anyone driving anywhere.

  2. Protect the room

Floors covered, furniture pulled back, plastic where it matters. Drywall dust travels and we'd rather it didn't.

  3. Cut back to solid

Crumbly edges get squared off and backed, so the patch has something real to attach to.

  4. Patch and coat

Fast-setting compound, two or three coats, each feathered wider than the last.

  5. Sand and texture

Sanded flat, then sprayed and knocked down to match what's already on the wall.

  6. Prime, paint, clean

Primer always. Paint if you have the color. Dust vacuumed, debris hauled out.

One honest caveat

Texture matches well. Paint doesn't always. Wall paint fades under years of Vegas sun through the windows, so a perfect patch can still read as a slightly fresher rectangle. When that's likely we'll say so before starting and recommend painting corner to corner.

Drywall Repair
questions

Can you match knockdown texture in a Las Vegas home?

Yes. Most valley homes are knockdown, orange peel or a light hand texture. We spray the patch, knock it down to match, then feather the edges so there's no visible border once it's painted.

How long does drywall repair take?

Most single patches are done in one visit of one to three hours using fast-setting compound. Large repairs and ceilings sometimes need a short second trip for final sanding and paint.

Do you paint the patch too?

Every patch gets primed. We'll paint it if you have the original color on hand. If the wall has faded we'll recommend painting wall to wall rather than leaving you a patch that's technically perfect and still visible.

My ceiling has a brown stain. Is it just paint?

Not usually. A stain means water got there somehow. We check whether the board has gone soft and whether the source is still active, because painting over an active leak just hides it until it's a bigger repair.

Can you fix a drywall patch someone else did badly?

Yes, and it's a regular call. Most failed patches were unbacked, under-coated or never textured. We normally cut the old patch out and start clean rather than adding another layer of mud on top.

Can you repair drywall before a move-out inspection?

That's one of our most common jobs. Send photos of everything at once — anchor holes, TV mount holes, door dings — and we'll clear the whole list in a single visit, usually within a day or two of you calling.

Do you do drywall repair on weekends?

Yes. We work seven days a week, 7am to 8pm, so Saturday and Sunday repairs are normal here rather than an after-hours favour.
